dovare Plain English Privacy Policy
At dovare, we want to make it clear to everyone what we will and will not do with the data you provide to us. With that in mind, we have written our privacy policy so that it can be understood by everyone.
This privacy policy covers how the personal information we collect is used by dovare.
What data do we collect from users?
The data we collect from you includes the ratings you give to travel criteria and destinations as well as the information you include in your user profile. You can choose to include additional information such as preferred airports and a general geographic location. The purpose of collecting this data is to allow dovare to identify the best travel destinations for you and to provide you with the opportunity to opt-in for travel deals to those destinations.
The only other data we collect that is not directly provided by you are the following:
• Your IP address and unique session IDs are kept temporarily to track the number of active users. Individual IP addresses and session IDs are not kept permanently. They are tallied into daily/weekly/monthly totals and deleted.
• Unique device IDs are created and kept for users that opt-in to receive notifications via the app. This is required for the notification service to work.
What about third parties that collect data?
We do not use any third party frameworks or service providers that collect personal information on our users. We do not use any personal data collected from third parties in dovare.
Who do we share your personal data with?
We do not share individual user data with anyone. We may share aggregated user data (such as the total number of users interested in a particular destination) with third parties but your personal user data will never be given out to anyone.
Links to Other Sites
If you opt-in, dovare will make recommendations on travel deals offered by third parties. These recommendations will include links to the third party website. If you open the link, you will be directed to the third party’s website. These sites are not operated by dovare and we have no control over the content, privacy policies or business practices of these third parties.
Security
We place a high value on the personal information you have shared with dovare and use multiple methods to protect it from misuse or disclosure. However, no method of transmitting data over the Internet is 100% secure and reliable and so we cannot guarantee the security of data you provide to dovare. Please use your own discretion in providing sensitive personal information to dovare.
Children’s Privacy
dovare is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not collect any personal information from children. If we discover someone under the age of 13 is using dovare, their account and all personal data will be deleted. If you are the parent or guardian and you discover that your child has given dovare personal information, please contact us so that we may delete the data.
Right to Be Forgotten
If you stop using dovare and want your personal information to be deleted, please contact us at info@dovare.com.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
Any changes to this privacy policy will be distributed via an update to the dovare app and users who have registered for notifications will also receive a notification that the privacy policy has been updated.
